Types of cookies

sime.bg uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage for the cart, customer account, administration session and consent choice. These technologies are necessary to provide services requested by the user.

The site uses Google Analytics cookies by default. They are used for aggregate statistics about visits and viewed pages and can be declined with a single click.

On the same basis, a Google Ads advertising cookie is also used. It serves solely to measure the result of advertisements: it links a visit that came from an advertisement with a completed order. Declining applies to it as well.

Technologies used

`sime_cart` stores a random cart key that allows the server to recognise the cart contents on a later visit.

`sime_customer` stores the customer account session. `sime_session` stores the administration session and is not used by ordinary visitors.

`sime_chat` stores a random key to the conversation with the selection helper. Without it the conversation cannot continue across pages, so the cookie is strictly necessary and does not require consent. It lasts 30 days.

`sime.consent` is a browser local storage entry that keeps the choice for analytics and advertising cookies together with the period for which it applies.

`_ga` and `_ga_<identifier>` are Google Analytics cookies. They contain a pseudonymous identifier used to distinguish visits and are deleted upon refusal.

`_gcl_au` is a Google Ads cookie. It keeps data about the click on an advertisement so that a subsequent order can be reported. It lasts 90 days and is deleted upon refusal.

Consent and refusal

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide the requested service and do not require prior consent.

Analytics and advertising cookies are used by default, on the basis of legitimate interest in measuring visits and the result of advertisements. If "Decline" is chosen, the counter stops at once, its cookies are deleted and no request is sent to Google; on the next visit the script is not loaded at all.

The site does not use social cookies. The advertising cookie serves only to measure the result of advertisements: ad personalisation is disabled and the data is not used for behavioural or retargeted advertising.

Retention and management

The cart key is valid for up to 30 days, and an abandoned cart is deleted after the same period. Customer and administration session duration is determined by the sign-in settings.

The choice can be changed at any time from the cookie notice or from the button on this page. It is remembered for different periods: "Accept" lasts one year, "Decline" lasts one month, after which the notice asks again.

The user may delete cookies and local storage through the browser settings. This may sign the user out, interrupt the cart or show the cookie choice again.
